MoneySavingExpert.com has performed a survey in customer approval, where independent energy supplier Ovo Energy has come first in customer satisfaction.
82% of their customers said that the company’s service over the last six months has been “great” as compared to “ok” or “poor” which were the other options available.
By comparison, EDF Energy was given the top rating by only 48 per cent of its customers who participated while 71 per cent of Npower’s customers rated the supplier “poor”.
Jason Sharpe, Ovo’s managing director said that the high rating is down to the fact that “the company is built around what is best for customers”.
He also added that the percentage of customers that have never switched energy suppliers is “worryingly high”.
The latest government figures showed that 33 per cent of domestic electricity customers have never switched from their incumbent supplier.
